The NSBP Innovate Seminar Series - "Exploring Super Atomic Crystals" by LaToya Anderson
Super atomic crystals offer an exciting opportunity to improve materials used in technological devices including solar panels, lithium-ion batteries, and quantum computing hardware. By studying their properties, we can explore their design complexity and offer insights into their potential functionality to engineers who then have the challenge of building these materials. In my talk, I will answer these questions: What is a super atomic crystal? How do we use computational materials science techniques to discover their properties? And how can these properties potentially improve certain technologies?

About the Speaker:
LaToya Anderson is an Associate Research Analyst at the Simons Foundation and a physics undergraduate at Brooklyn College.

Join LaToya Anderson (Brooklyn College) as our speaker at 3:00 PM EDT on November 29th for NSBP Innovate Seminar Series.

The series is a forum for NSBP members to share their research ideas & projects in a non-specialist way with a wide audience. The 30-minute talk (followed by 15 minutes of Q&A) will be a Zoom Webinar, and recorded. It will be available to the whole world soon after the event at KITP Online Talks.

Nov 29, 2022 03:00 PM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
